First National Bank of Naperville To Sponsor Riverwalk Fine Art Fair

     The First National Bank of Naperville, which will open its first Naperville office next month in the Westridge Court Shopping Center on Aurora Ave., has signed a three-year agreement to be the presenting sponsor of the Naperville Art League's prestigious Riverwalk Fine Art Fair.

     This year's Fair, which annually brings more than 200 artists to Naperville from nearly every state and draws some 40,000 visitors to the Riverwalk, will be September 20 and 21. The Fair is nationally recognized by arts organizations as one of the best in the country.

     Art Fair promotional materials will convey that the Riverwalk Fine Art Fair is "presented by The First National Bank of Naperville" and will include the Bank's logo and theme line, "The Art of BankingSM."

     This is the first time the Naperville Art League has sought significant sponsorship money for its Fair.

     "We're thrilled by First National's response," Fair Chairman and Naperville Art League member Stacey McMurphy said. "We determined the League needed additional support to assure that the Riverwalk Fine Art Fair continues as a high-quality event, both locally and in the art world. First National Bank of Naperville's commitment certainly will help us reach that goal."

     "We're elated to be sponsoring the Riverwalk Fine Art Fair. It is a great way to display our commitment to The Art of BankingSM in the Naperville community," Bank President Brian R. Schultz said. "We are embarking on a long-term relationship with the Naperville community and are focused on being Naperville's high-quality bank of choice."

     In addition to its sponsorship of the Riverwalk Fine Art Fair, the Bank, a branch of First National Bank of Brookfield, has commissioned internationally known artist Mark McMahon to capture Naperville scenes in his distinctive on-location drawing style. Prints of McMahon's work will be donated by First National Bank of Naperville to the City. His unique work also will be made available to Bank customers.

     First National Bank of Naperville expects to break ground this fall on a new 18,000-sq. ft. office at the intersection of Aurora Ave. and Ft. Hill Dr., on Naperville's bustling west side. The First National Bank of Naperville office in the Westridge Court Shopping Center, currently being remodeled for Bank use until its new office is completed, is just north of the Aurora Ave.-Ft. Hill Drive intersection.
